Thimlich Ohinga

This is a unique 15th-century architectural layered stone enclosure, which has walls ranging up to 2.2 meters in height. Thimlich Ohinga literally means “frightening dense forest” in the local Luo language. With few alterations, the site has some of the best preserved Iron Age remains in East Africa.
