| Jumba La Mtwane is Swahili language meaning “mansion of the slave.” Encompassed in this area are buildings that have survived in recognizable condition. These include an inscribed tomb, four houses, and three mosques. The Mosque by the Sea has arched doorways and a well preserved mihrab. | ||
